CPL Heritage Round
Heritage Round is a yearly celebration of the history of Christchurch clubs by the Canterbury Hockey Community. During this round of CPL Games, clubs will play in their "heritage kit", paying respect to the players who have gone before them.
While Southern United was established in 2014 with 'Baby Blue' as our principal colour, the SUHC Committee wanted to pay homage to both Selwyn Hockey Club (1910) & Sydenham Hockey Club (1898) by designing our heritage playing kit to sport the principal colour of both clubs.
Our CPL Teams proudly play in blue & brown kit and the club invites players past and present to come and enjoy a slice of history being made!
Heritage Round 2025
Our Southern CPL Men and women wore their heritage colours loud and proud for 2025. Under the watchful eye of our Club Life Members cheering them on from the stands, the CPL Stingers managed to get their hands on the shield!
Heritage Round 2024
Heritage Round 2024 saw the debut of our newly designed heritage kit. Big thanks to Just Hockey NZ for getting our new heritage tops here before the games.
